Genre: Pilot MOW/Film for Family Animation Series
Logline: In Bethlehem near the time of Christ’s birth, an outspoken female sheep, accompanied by her mouse friend, struggles to find love, freedom, and meaning in a world filled with discrimination and injustice.
Synopsis: In a world where lions rule politically and male sheep rule spiritually, Sarah, an outspoken female sheep, encounters discrimination when she is not allowed to become a priestess in the sheep temple, or marry a goat named Junior. She tries to run off with Junior against her parents’ wishes, but Sarah and Junior are both caught and Junior is sent to the reform school. Sarah and her mouse friend, Esther, leave home in search of a better life, but find their opportunities limited to taking jobs at a lamb nursery. Meanwhile, Junior escapes from reform school and announces a revolution to overthrow lion and sheep rule. Sarah must decide whether to keep quiet and continue following the rules of Bethlehem, join Junior in a violent revolution, or propose a revolution of the heart, as she and every animal in Bethlehem face the arrival of the star of Bethlehem and the Messiah.
